Zomato's day started on a very "stressful" note today as its founder Deepinder Goyal tweeted he was ordering triple breakfast in the morning.

Hands down, it was a great marketing skill when Zomato's official Twitter handle started tweeting out its witty one-liners like it always does. Well, that really hyped up the IPO all over the internet and we saw some big names from the Indian startup ecosystem coming out to back the first homegrown tech startup to be listed.

"Make it large Deepi!," these were the 'best wishes' from its latest BFF Paytm's founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma.

Niti Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant also congratulated Goyal for the IPO. "Congrats @zomato for the highly successful 9375 Cr IPO & raising 4000 Cr from anchor investors ahead of IPO. Zomato has totally redefined the food service & delivery industry. Now present in 10,000 cities in 24 countries, their journey is truly inspirational & mind boggling," he said in a tweet.

Rival Swiggy made a sweet gesture as it sent out a notification today saying it was a big day for Indian startups and also wished its 'friend'.

The memes played well! Twitter was filled with memes, some making fun of its peers, while some influencing to subscribe to the IPO. Anyways, Zomato IPO got oversubscribed in the retail category by no less than 60%. Overall, on Day 1, Zomato's IPO saw a fair interest from the investors as the offering was subscribed over 61% at the time of writing the story.
