You might not get your provident fund amount credited if your UAN or the Universal Account Number is not linked with the Aadhaar card.

The deadline to link UAN with Aadhaar was extended till August 31. Earlier it was due by May 31.

The government has made it mandatory for UAN to be linked with Aadhaar so that employers are able to file Employee Cum Return (ECR) challan and deposit the money into your EPF account.

How to Link Aadhaar to EPF account:

1. Go to epfindia.gov.in 

2. Click on 'Online Services', select E-KYC Portal

3. Enter the Aadhaar number, mobile number

4. Verify OTP and done
