The International Cricket Council on Wednesday confirmed the points system for the second edition of the World Test Championship.
Unlike previous system where the same number of points were allocated to each series, divided across the number of matches played, each match of the upcoming WTC will now be contested for the same number of points, that is 12 for a win, 4 for a draw and 6 for a tie.
The Covid-19 pandemic had sent the WTC points system for a toss and ICC had to change it mid-way as all bilateral series couldn't be completed. ICC in a statement said that the changes had been made to simplify the points system.
