Top seed and world number one Ash Barty collected her second Grand Slam title on Saturday by winning the Women's Singles at Wimbledon. This is her first Wimbledon title.

The 25 year-old Australian won the first 14 points of the final against Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic and led 3-1 in the second set before the number eight seed fought back, forced a tiebreak and levelled the match.

Pliskova gifted Barty a break at the start of the decider though and she went on to complete a 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-3 victory.

Barty becomes the first Australian woman to win Wimbledon since Evonne Goolagong achieved the feat in 1980.
