World's oldest person dies: watch how old French nun Lucile Randon was at time of death

The world's oldest person on record died on 17 January 2023.

Lucile Randon, a French nun, was 118 years old when she breathed her last. Randon, also known as Sister Andre, was born on 11 February 1904.

She passed away in her sleep at a nursing home in Toulon.

Randon was born a decade before World War I, in the year that New York opened its first subway.
