A woman who was found alive at her own funeral has died after spending a week in intensive care.
76-year-old Bella Montoya startled her family after knocking from inside her coffin at her funeral on June 9, 2023.
She had been taken to a hospital and kept under "permanent surveillance". However, she suffered a stroke on June 16 and passed away.
Ecuador's government had said that it would probe how the first incorrect death certificate of Bella Montoya was issued.
