A video of an unusual spiral formation appearing among northern lights or aurora in the skies over Alaska has taken the internet by storm.
The spiral was seen in the sky on 15 April 2023, as per reports.
Despite wild speculation on social media, the cause of the spiral was excess fuel being released from a SpaceX rocket that was launched around 3 hours earlier.
When the fuel is released at high altitudes, it freezes. If it catches the sunlight, and people on Earth are standing in darkness, they can see it appear like a big cloud, a scientist told the Associated Press.
