In a startling incident, a small plane crashed in the front yard of a house in USA's New Jersey. The incident occurred on April 4 at South Main Street in Manville.

The crashed plane was a 2006 Mooney M20M, as per reports. The pilot suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.

The plane reportedly took off from Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. No injuries were reported on the ground, although the plane damaged utility lines and trees.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are probing the cause of the crash.

Lt John Crater of the Manville police department said, "The pilot was coming from North Carolina, and it seems like the landing went bad. I don't know if it's because of wind or mechanical error, but he attempted to land and then abandoned that landing and then somehow hit a tree and got spun around."

Donna Schultz, a local resident, said, "I was in the house, and all of a sudden I heard this explosion and I ran down to the cellar -- I thought my furnace blew up. And I looked around, and then I went outside to see what was going on and all my neighbors go, 'We have no electricity.' So, then my one neighbor came in the back and he says, 'Oh, there's a plane crash.'"
