The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton played the piano for the first time in public during a special carol service in London's Westminster Abbey broadcast on Christmas Eve.

Kate performed with British pop star Tom Walker, who sung a rendition of his emotional single 'For Those Who Can't Be Here.'

The televised event, which was dedicated to those who have supported their communities during the coronavirus pandemic, also included performances by a choir and well-known artists including Ellie Goulding and Leona Lewis.

It was attended by several groups, including soldiers who aided evacuations from Afghanistan, carers, faith leaders and people who were isolated during the pandemic.
