A viral video from Afghanistan shows a Taliban representative assaulting women outside a university.

The hijab, niqab-clad female students in the purported video are seen running, after a man started chasing them away in a bid to not let them enter the university.

The October 30 video which was shared by 'The Independent' journalist Mukhtar Wafayee shows the Taliban official hitting, screaming at the women outside Badakhshan University.

The students reportedly claimed that they were denied entry for not wearing burqa- which is a Taliban mandated dress code for women.

As seen in the video, the women were banging the university doors demanding their "access to education."
