Flooding struck areas in the United Arab Emirates as the country was hit by heavy rains.
Some stranded people who became trapped in their homes in the cities of Sharjah and Fujairah were rescued by the members of the civil defense.
Fujairah was badly affected due to its mountainous nature and its valleys.
Sharjah was also badly affected while Dubai and Abu Dhabi saw less rain.
Authorities issued warnings to residents to stay indoors and keep away from areas prone to flash flooding like valleys.
They also announced temporary shelter would be provided at hotels for those who had to leave their homes.
The unsettled weather which hit the country on Wednesday was expected to last on Thursday.
