A major security scare occurred in the capital city of the United States of America on June 4, 2023.
A small plane flying over New York suddenly changed direction and flew straight to Washington, DC. It was unresponsive, and the US military sent a fighter jet after the business plane, as per reports.
The wayward aircraft eventually crashed in mountainous terrain near Montebello, Virginia.
US President Joe Biden was busy playing golf at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland at the time.
The plane was registered to a company named Encore Motors, but it is not yet clear why it was non-responsive, and why it crashed.
