In an unusual tale of love, a US man who barely survived a motorbike accident asked his wife to marry him again thinking it was year 1993 and he was still unmarried.
The husband-wife duo identified as Kristy and Andrew Mackenzie survived a nearly fatal road accident which reportedly resulted in the husband forgetting about his marriage of 37 years.
ABC 7 reported that Andrew woke up three days after the accident and failed to recognize his two daughters Lorelai Mentzar and Amanda Mackenzie.

All he enquired about was his wife Kristy who was also recovering in the same hospital.
Andrew told the news outlet that post accident, he could only remember visuals of his wife sitting in a wheelchair and looking after him.
Meanwhile, Kristy who had convinced hospital staff to let her husband stay in her room for better recovery said she was amazed to see a new person within 24 hours. "There were happy tears," she added
After recovery, the couple took a beach vacation where Andrew popped the marriage question again and the two subsequently exchanged vows for the second time.
