Upset with a US comedian's joke about the missing MH370 flight, Malaysia has asked Interpol to help them track her down.

Jocelyn Chia has been accused of incitement and offensive online content by Malaysia after she posted a clip of her recent stand-up in Manhattan.

The comedian made the comment while drawing comparisons between Singapore and Malaysia which were once part of the same country. Chia had quipped that while Singapore has become a 'first-world country', Malaysia is still a developing nation whose planes can't fly.

The New York-based comedian has called Malaysia's reaction 'overblown' and termed its move to involve Interpol 'ridiculous'. Chia said she was not making fun of a tragedy but trying to find humour in tragedy.
