His daughter recently took to Tik Tok to share her father's novel-writing journey. Posting a 16-second video, she shared that "she would want to see some sales for her father's book."
The book jumped to No.1 on Amazon's serial killer thrillers list soon after the video went viral.
According to a BBC report, Richard's thriller which was published in 2012 is the story of an FBI agent probing a serial killer who strangles women to death.
The viral clip has documented Richard's long journey from writing to finishing the novel, garnering over 40 million views since being shared.
