Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers have issued the country’s first set of laws that require a woman to conceal her face, body and voice outside the home.

The new law also adds some limitations for men. It says that males required to cover their bodies from their navels to their knees when they are outside their homes.

While the Taliban does not clearly state a punishment for offenders, detention is almost assured. Authorities will then decide on an appropriate punishment. The move has received foreign condemnation.
