As Israel continues to target Shia-dominated areas in Lebanon, killing thousands of civilians and destroying hundreds of homes, UAE sent a message of solidarity to its Arab neighbor.
Iconic buildings in the Emirates, including Burj Khalifa, Mubadala Tower, and ADNOC Building were lit up with the slogan 'UAE stands with Lebanon', along with the map and flag of the war-torn nation.
The symbolic gesture was reportedly ordered by the country's top leadership, led by the President and Prime Minister.
The campaign was launched on October 8 and will continue till October 21.
Despite the Shia-Sunni divide that has historically dominated Middle-East politics, the UAE has turned vocal in its support for the people of Lebanon.
