Super Typhoon Yagi has brought devastation to southern China, killing four people and injuring 95 others in the island province of Hainan.
The typhoon, equivalent to a Category 5 hurricane, made two landfalls in China, first striking Hainan and later the Guangdong province.
It has has left a catastrophic trail of destruction across the region, horrifying visuals of which have surfaced. Over 400,000 people were evacuated ahead of the typhoon's arrival. More than 700,000 households were left without power, and over 60,000 residents faced water shortages.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has ordered increased disaster relief efforts.
