Peshawar: At least four individuals, including a child, lost their lives, and four others sustained injuries on Tuesday when a passenger vehicle plunged into a gorge in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, according to rescue officials.

The accident occurred in the mountainous Buner district of the province due to a brake failure, as reported by rescue authorities. The vehicle was on its route from Sawari to Phulwari when the unfortunate incident took place.

Sadly, among those killed were two women and a child. The injured and the deceased were promptly transferred to District Headquarters Hospital in Daggar for necessary medical attention, officials confirmed.
