Alarming scenes were witnessed at Sweden's embassy in Iraq's capital Baghdad on June 29 as hundreds of protestors forcibly entered the premises.

The violent protest was organised against the burning of a Quran in Sweden. The protestors were followers of influential Iraqi Shiite cleric and political leader Muqtada Sadr.

The embassy was evacuated after the protestors breached the building.

Swedish authorities had allowed a man to burn a Quran outside a mosque in Stockholm on June 28.
