In what could further fuel tensions with India, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that he spoke about New Delhi to United Arab Emirates President Mohamed Bin Zayed.

In a post on X, Trudeau said he spoke to Zayed about India and the importance of upholding and respecting the rule of law.

The statement comes amid the ongoing row between the two countries over Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing.
