A video resurfaced on social media in which a shark is seen to be trying to kill and perheps eat two divers in an underwater metal cage but thrashed itself against the bars of the cage and broke its neck.
The footage, posted on X, shows the mammoth fish heading towards the cage in which two men were seen standing.
But as the shark puts its head in between the bars, it gets stuck and thrashes for around 25 minutes while trying to free itself and ended up breaking its neck in the process.
The clip was first posted to YouTube in 2019 had nearly 18 million new views by February 20.
The description of the video said the encounter happened near Guadalupe Island in Mexico. It added that the shark got stuck in the cage for about 25 minutes before it expired.
