A scary pile-up occurred at a highway in America's Pennsylvania on March 28. Around 40 vehicles were involved in the terrifying mishap.
Viral videos purportedly of the incident showed cars and trucks losing control and either ramming into each other, or skidding off the road. Heavy fog and a snow-covered road created a lethal mix leading to the serial collisions. A huge fire also erupted at the spot.
The pile-up reportedly occurred at Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County near the Minersville exit at about 11 am. Heavy snow also made it difficult for fire tenders to reach the spot.
The National Weather Service had reportedly warned of "numerous brief heavy snow squalls with very poor visibility".
