The Israeli army has said that it is making preparations for 'significant ground operations' in Gaza, a week after Hamas militants attacked Israel.
The next phase of the war can include a coordinated land, sea and air assault, the IDF said in a statement on 14th October 2023.
The announcement follows efforts to enable Palestinians with dual US citizenship and other foreign passport holders to leave Gaza via the Rafah border crossing into Egypt, after Israel told diplomats that it would allow some departures.
However, no one has been allowed to leave, according to four diplomats working on the issue, Financial Times reported on 15th October, 2023
