Pakistani-Canadian writer Tarek Fatah dies after long battle with cancer

Pakistan-born Canadian writer Tarek Fatah died on April 24 after a long battle with cancer. The 73-year-old was based in Canada. His daughter Natasha Fatah confirmed the news of his death on Twitter.

Tarek Fatah was born in Karachi on November 20, 1949, and migrated to Canada in the early 1980s. He worked as a political activist, journalist and television host. He also wrote several books.
