Pakistan has overtaken Afghanistan to earn the sinister tag of being the country with the most terrorist attacks and deaths in South Asia, according to the Global Terrorism Index report released by Australia-based Institute for Economics and Peace.
Pakistan recorded the second-largest surge in deaths due to terror attacks across the world in 2022.
The Balochistan Liberation Army replaced the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan as the deadliest terrorist outfit in the country.
