Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu on 18 November said there was no deal yet to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas.

In a press conference, Netanyahu dismissed 'incorrect reports' in recent days about possible agreements to free at least some of the hostages, The Times of Israel said on November 19.

Earlier, The Washington Post reported that Israel, the US and Hamas were 'close' to an agreement that would free dozens of women and children held hostage in Gaza in exchange for a five-day truce in hostilities.
