Former US First Lady Michelle Obama held back from endorsing President Joe Biden ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

She noted that the presidency is a "tough job," and that Biden is "doing the best he can under some tough circumstances."

Asked by ABC's Robin Roberts if she hoped President Biden will run again in 2024, the former first lady said: "I think that that's a personal decision that he and his family have to make. I mean, probably if I hadn't been through it, I'd feel more cavalier about opining on it."
