Media mogul Rupert Murdoch is ready to marry again at age 92. The former Fox News chairperson will wed 67-year-old Elena Zhukova, marking the fifth time he has gotten married.
Murdoch last made headlines last year when he announced his engagement with radio host Ann Lesley Smith, a nuptial that was called off within days. New York Times reported that Murdoch’s next marriage is scheduled for June at his California vineyard and estate.
Murdoch has previously been married to flight attendant Patricia Booker, journalist Anna Torv, businesswoman Wendi Deng and model Jerry Hall. Murdoch has a total of six children.
Murdoch stepped down as leader of both Fox's parent company and his News Corp media holdings in September last year. He handed over the business to his son Lachlan.
He built his empire from a single newspaper in Adelaide, Australia, after inheriting it from his father and became a multi-billionaire. Forbes estimated the Murdoch family's net worth is at roughly $19 billion in 2020.
News Corp owns the Times, Sunday Times and Sun newspapers, but News of the World closed and Murdoch sold his 40% stake in Sky when he failed to get complete control of the company.
