Massive IT outage hits planes, media and banks across the globe

Numerous users of Windows across the world are experiencing the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error which is causing the system to suddenly shut down or restart. 

According to Microsoft, the error is being caused due to a recent Crowdstrike update. The global company said its outage started with a subset of its customers experiencing issues with multiple Azure services in the Central US region. 

Several airlines across the globe issued advisory stating they are experiencing technical challenges amid the ongoing outage. 

Microsoft said that they are investigating an issue impacting users ability to access various Microsoft 365 apps and services.
