Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has said she will visit Lebanon on October 18. She demanded security guarantees from Israel for Italy’s troops in Lebanon. Her response came just days after UN peacekeeper bases came under attack. Italy has been a strong supporter of Israel in the year since Hamas attack. Believe the attitude of IDF is totally unjustified, said Meloni to Italian senate. She described IDF attack a ‘blatant violation’ of a UN resolution.
