Israel's former Prime Minister, Yair Lapid, has expressed a firm commitment to preventing any recurrence of events like the Hamas attack, saying Israel will 'go all-out' to ensure 'this never happens again'.
Lapid's remarks came during a conversation with news outlet NDTV, days after Palestinian militant group Hamas launched a massive land, sea, and water assault on Israel.
The former minister told NDTV, that Israel's immediate priority is to hamper Hamas' capabilities.
The leader of the Opposition also asserted that nobody is thinking about politics in the country amid the massive crisis, asserting that the entire Israel has united against Hamas.
Sending a stern message to all the factions that have aligned against Israel, Lapid said the country was taken off guard once, but it will not allow it to be caught off guard a second time.
