Israel-Hamas war: Netanyahu shuts Macron's remark calling for Gaza ceasefire

After French President Emmanuel Macron said Israel must stop bombing Gaza and killing civilians, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded saying world leaders should be condemning Hamas, and not Israel.

Macron, in a BBC interview  had said France “clearly condemns” the actions of Hamas, but that while recognising Israel’s right to protect itself, “his country does urge Tel Aviv to stop this bombing” in Gaza.

The French President's comment to came a day after a humanitarian conference on Gaza was held in Paris.
