French President Emmanuel Macron on October 25 met his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog in Tel Aviv. Expressing solidarity with Israel, Macron said that the first objective should be the release of all hostages captured by Hamas.
"I am here with my delegation to express our support and solidarity, and share your pain. What happened on October 7 was a terrorist attack against your people and your nation," said Macron.
"The first objective should be the release of all hostages without any distinction...You are not alone in this war against terrorism," he added.
During the meet, the Israeli president said that his country is closely watching developments in Lebanon and that he thinks Hezbollah is playing with fire.
