Israel foils ‘Syrian’ drone attack near Sea of Galilee after Hezbollah onslaught

Israel's military foiled a major drone attack in southern Golan Heights.

The attack occurred near Sea of Galilee, bordering Jordan and Syria.

The drone is suspected to be launched from Syria, a fairly rare occurrence.

The army said they successfully shot down the object.

It comes after Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets & drones at Israel.

Hezbollah said it launched over 320 rockets, targeting Israeli military positions.

According to Israel's military, one Israeli navy soldier was killed.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said they don’t seek full-scale war.

Hezbollah’s escalation came after Israel’s pre-emptive strike in Lebanon.

Israel said it detected that Lebanon-based Hezbollah would launch missiles.

So, the army said, it attacked half an hour beforehand with 100 Israeli jets.

Israel said it hit thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers.

Lebanon’s NNA news agency reported one person was critically injured.

The US says it is working to avoid any further escalation in the region.
