Israel Accused Of Using Banned White Phosphorus In Beirut Bombing | 6 Killed In Health Centre Strike

IDF was accused of firing banned phosphorous bombs in Beirut. Israeli military used internationally banned bomb in Al-Bashoura: report. Children and women were among the casualties in the bombings. Strikes were carried out near UN office, the PM's office, and the parliament in Beirut. 

Human rights groups want the US to suspend arms supply to Israel. But Biden pledges full support to Israel’s operation. IDF was accused of using incendiary bombs in the past. Oxfam, and Human Rights Watch blamed Israel for using phosphorus bombs in Gaza, Lebanon.

“White phosphorus isn’t like a bullet or targeted ammunition, it’s made to make land uninhabitable,” Antoine Kallab, Associate director of the AUBNCC said.

Phosphorus turns hazardous once it mixes with soil. 10 million sq meter land in Lebanon burned with white phosphorus: CNRS. Phosphorus impacts body progressively and is called a 'silent killer'. Bombings amidst spurt in IDF strikes, over 1000 killed in two weeks.
