Is Larry The Cat Not OK? Downing Street Prepares Plan for Announcing Chief Mouser's Death

Larry the Cat, who has served as Chief Mouser under six British prime ministers is now 17-year-old. The Chief Mouser is thought to be in his final years. Amid this, Downing Street officials are preparing a media plan to announce the death of the tabby.

Government sources told The Times that a press release and graphics are drafted 'ready for the sad day he goes.

As per the report, pictures, selected to be published upon news of Larry's demise, are reportedly stored in folders on the No 10 IT system as part of a plan to inform the public.

The cat was adopted from Battersea Cats Home. Larry was first brought into Downing Street by David Cameron as a pet for his children on February 15, 2011. The Chief Mouser has since outlasted several prime ministers.
