Iran sends animals to space, man-mission soon, says defence minister

Stating that Tehran has successfully launched a capsule carrying animals into the space, the country's Defence minister said on Wednesday that Iran is inching close to launch a human mission to the space. 

A 500 kg capsule is expected to be sent to space carrying Iranian astronauts and if successful the mission will make Iran 4th nation to have a manned space mission.

Quoting Telecommunication minister Isa Zarepourn, IRNA news agency said the capsule carrying animals was placed 130 kilometers into orbit.

However, there was no official confirmation on which animals were sent in the capsule.
Iran is hyperfocused on its space mission and has announced many successful launch of the satellites into space earlier.
