Days after an Indian engineer was killed in a mass shooting at a shopping mall in USA's Dallas, the Indian consulate said that it is working on sending her mortal remains back home.

26-year-old Aishwarya Thatikonda was killed on May 6, 2023, along with 8 others when a person named Mauricio Garcia opened fire inside the mall.

Aishwarya's father is a district judge in Telangana's Ranga Reddy district.

Indian diplomats said that they are in touch with Aishwarya's family and also the relatives of two other Indians who were injured.
