Indian-American presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy dominated the Republican primary debate. He overshadowed popular competitors like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

The political newcomer said his GOP competitors were “bought and paid for.” However, his lack of political experience was attacked by other candidates.

Ramaswamy is hoping to contest in the 2024 US presidential elections and is currently considered a popular candidate. Tesla boss Elon Musk praised Ramaswamy and said he is “very promising.”

Former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley attacked Ramaswamy’s argument that the U.S. shouldn’t support Ukraine in its defence against Russia’s invasion.
