India votes in favour of UN resolution against Israeli settlements in Palestine

India has voted in favour of a United Nations resolution against Israeli settlements in 'the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and the occupied Syrian Golan'. 

The vote was passed by an overwhelming majority on November 11 with 145 countries voting in favour of the resolution. 

7 countries - Canada, Hungary, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, United States-- voted against the resolution and 18 abstained from voting.
