According to Gita Gopinath, IMF's first deputy managing director, the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict can have key impacts on the global economy, particularly as several countries are grappling with inflation.
Speaking exclusively to NDTV, Gopinath highlighted how broader regional involvement amid war's escalation can impact oil prices and subsequently spiking the inflation while adversely affecting global GDP.
Gopinath also insisted that the war which has so far displaced thousands of people could lead to migration issues and affect tourism in the region.
