Hezbollah, the Lebanese armed group said it fired a barrage of Katyusha rockets at the main air defence base in northern Israel, the Birya Barracks, which is located near the city of Safad. The Israeli military confirmed the attack, saying some 20 projectiles were fired towards Safad, but that most of them were intercepted or had fallen in open areas.
