Prince Harry and his wife Meghan rode in the taxi of an Indian-American cab driver after allegedly being chased dangerously by paparazzi. The incident took place in USA's New York City on the night of May 16, 2023.

Cab driver Sukhcharn Singh said that he picked up the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from a police station in Manhattan. After Harry and Meghan sat in the car, it got blocked by a garbage truck, and suddenly paparazzi surrounded the vehicle, the cab driver recounted.

He said that the couple looked "pretty nervous" like they had been getting "chased" the entire day. Sukhcharn Singh drove Harry and Meghan for around 10 minutes and they asked to be dropped back at the station.

The celebrity couple's spokesperson had claimed on May 17 that they had experienced a "near catastrophic car chase", but the cab driver said this was exaggerated.
