Swedish police said at least four explosions were reported in quick succession, triggering a response from the country’s bomb squad. Those behind the explosion seemed to target residential areas.
Officials reported only “material damage” at all four sites, clarifying that no one has been injured in the bombings.
“Both sites have been cordoned off and technical investigations are ongoing,” law enforcement officials said.
While no suspect has been named, police signalled a possible gang-related conflict, as per AFP. Sweden has reportedly struggled to contain gang violence over the last year.
