Munir al-Maqdah, a brigadier general with the Fatah-aligned al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade in Lebanon, survived an Israeli attack in Lebanon. The home of al-Maqdah was bombed in the Ein al-Hilweh refugee camp in Sidon, killing five people, including al-Maqdah's son, Hassan al-Maqdah. The Israeli military has announced it has begun ground operations in southern Lebanon, while air attacks continue across the country, including in the town of Daoudiya, where at least 10 people have been killed in a strike on a home.
