Earthquake hits Japan again, no tsunami warning issued so far

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck near the west coast of Japan on January 9, causing strong shaking. No Tsunami warning has been issued so far. Local media reports said that the epicentre was recorded near Sado Island in Nagaoka, Niigata Prefecture. It comes days after a devastating 7.6 magnitude earthquake left more than 200 dead on New Year's Day with 323 reported missing.
