Turkish President Recep Erdogan has delivered a clear message to Biden government.  Erdogan is in US for the UN summit, and admitted to the difference with the US. ‘Our differences of opinion with the US on issues of national security continue’.

Erdogan made a stinging remark during a New York think tank roundtable. He is in the US to address the 79th session of UN General Assembly.

Turkey & the US differ over American support to Kurdish militants- PKK. The PKK is considered a terror group by Turkey, the US, & the European Union. But, the US gives military aid to the PKK's Syrian affiliate which fights ISIS.

Turkey views the PKK as a separatist group that wants an independent Kurd state. While the US has banned PKK since 1997, it has not done so with Syrian affiliates. For Turkey, Syrian affiliate People's Protection Units is an extension of the PKK. Turkey's army ops against PKK in Iraq & Syria have led to tensions with the US. Turkey accuses the US of allowing PKK from using its arms against Turkish army.
