Covid: USA ends 'national emergency' after over 3 years

US authorities on 10 April 2023 ended the 'national emergency' on the Covid pandemic.

President Joe Biden signed a bipartisan Congressional resolution to end the national emergency affter 3 years.

Earlier, Biden had opposed the resolution, but later said that he would sign it after the Senate passed it.

The emergency had been declared on 31 January 2020 by then-President Donald Trump.
