Days after 4 young children were found alive after surviving a plane crash and 40 days in a Colombian jungle, their rescuers revealed the first words said by the kids.

13-year-old Lesly - the eldest in the group - was holding the 1-year-old toddler in her arms when the search team found them on June 9. She ran towards the rescuers and said, "I'm hungry."

One of the boys, who was lying down, got up and said, "My mom is dead."

To boost the children's morale, the rescuers said that they're friends and family, and were sent to find the kids by their uncle and father.
